Our History
Founded in 1993, St. Croix Montessori School was established with the vision of providing a unique educational experience that embraces Montessori philosophy. Since our inception, we have grown from a small community initiative into a thriving school that serves children from toddler through 6th grade. Our commitment to excellence in education has been recognized by families throughout the region, and we take pride in the strong relationships we have built with our community.
Our Philosophy
Together we are committed to helping each child realize their unlimited potential and individual success.
At the heart of our approach is the belief that each child is a unique individual with their own interests, strengths, and pace of learning. We adhere to the Montessori principles of child-centered education, where students are encouraged to take charge of their own learning journey. Our classrooms are designed to promote exploration and discovery, allowing children to engage with hands-on materials and collaborate with peers in a mixed-age setting. This method fosters independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our Values
Respect: Montessori’s education for peace cultivates an atmosphere of mutual respect among students, educators, and families. Our focus on empathy and understanding helps create a harmonious learning environment.
Community: We believe in the importance of building strong relationships within our school and the broader community. Collaboration and support among families and staff enrich the educational experience for everyone.
Growth: We are committed to the holistic development of each child—intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Our curriculum is designed to nurture not only academic skills but also confidence, resilience, and interpersonal abilities.
Our Leadership Team
Our dedicated leadership team is composed of experienced educators and administrators who share a passion for Montessori education. They are committed to creating an environment where both students and staff thrive.
